A favorite sweater is rarely worn just one way. Layer it over a shirt on Monday, pair it with jeans on Saturday, or tuck it into your bag for a cool evening. That kind of repeat wear is the starting point for UMEYD.

Who we are

UMEYD is an online women’s clothing brand offering its own label. Our collection brings together knitwear, shirts, trousers, denim, dresses and outerwear. We use familiar shapes as a starting point, with details such as a textured stitch, a particular neckline or a plaid that picks up another color in an outfit.

Our mission

We want getting dressed to feel easier. A piece should make sense alongside clothes you already own. That might mean a straight-leg trouser that works with both a fine knit and a tucked shirt, or a jacket with enough room for your usual layer.

Our vision

We envision a wardrobe that becomes more personal with time: fewer pieces that only work for a single occasion, and more combinations you can return to without having to start over each season.

What guides the collection

• Versatility. We look at how a piece works on its own and as part of an outfit. A neutral layer can balance a pattern; one bright knit can change the feel of familiar denim.
• Individual style. Color, pattern and fit are choices. Our styling is an invitation to try a combination, not a rule about how it must be worn.
• Clarity. A useful description tells you something a photograph cannot: the fabric blend, the feel of a stretch panel, the length, or how to care for the piece. See the details for the style and color you are considering.

A good place to start
